Who We Are

Visions of Abraham is a registered 501 (c)(3) working to create and promote educational initiatives relating to interfaith programming between Muslims and Jews. More recently, our team has adopted a common goal of maximizing the historic potential of the Abraham Accords by making it as easy as possible for Jewish and Israeli groups of all sizes and denominations to explore the UAE and Bahrain firsthand.

Eli Epstein

Eli has been working in the Gulf for over 30 years, first as the CEO of a company responsible for producing carbon byproducts and later as an advisor for various business entities. He has been a supporter of the Jewish community in Dubai from its onset, and facilitated the first meetings between government officials from Israel and the UAE.

Alex Peterfreund

In addition to being one of the co-founders and cantors of the Jewish community in the Emirates, Alex is a dedicated Sales Managing Director with more than 30 years’ experience in the diamond and luxury sector. Alex is also an active board member for the Association of Gulf Jewish Communities.

Ambassador Houda Nonoo

Houda, born and raised in the capital city of Manama, is a second generation member of the Bahraini Jewish community, the only indigenous one in the Gulf. She served as Ambassador of Bahrain to the U.S. and non-resident ambassador to Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico from 2008 to 2013. She is a board member of the House of Ten Commandments (Bahrain’s synagogue) and of the Association of Gulf Jewish Communities, a people to people organization that is building and enhancing Jewish life in the region.
